At Whitehouse Primary School Nursery Unit staff strive to make learning fun. Every child is encouraged and stimulated to explore, to experiment and to discover, using his or her own unique learning style and interests.  Working in partnership with parents, carers, governors and other outside agencies, we aim to provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment where each individual child can develop a lifelong love for learning and develop a positive image of themselves as learners.

The Nursery staff, as a professionally qualified and trained team, will be aware of the development of each individual child and by careful planning and preparation of the unit, its resources and curriculum, will strive to give the optimum opportunity for growth – physical, social, emotional and intellectual.

The children will be given encouragement to play, at levels appropriate to their stage of development and levels of understanding, to communicate, make rational choices, relate to other children, control their emotions and develop a set of values for life.
