Daily Mile Santa Run- Friday
Northern Ireland does the Daily Mile Santa Run
The Daily Mile in Northern Ireland are hosting their annual Christmas national event day in schools to get children moving and talking about physical and mental health. Whitehouse Primary have signed up to take part in ‘The Daily Mile Santa Run’.
We will be doing our Christmas Daily Mile any time between 9:00-15:00 on Friday 1st December 2023, along with the rest of the nation!
What do you need to do as a parent/carer if your child is taking part?
- ·Send your child to school on Friday 1/12/23 in their black jogging bottoms and black trainers with a Christmas jumper and/or hat.
- ·We understand that for religious reasons, some families may not want their children to take part. This event is completely optional. Children can wear any top with their school P.E. kit and still take part in the Daily Mile or alternatively do not have to take part at all. Please email your child’s teacher with your preferences.
- Send in a £1 donation with your child – this money will go directly to supporting the children in their classes.
Please note that there will be no access to the school grounds by car from 9:30 to 12:30 on the 1/12/23 to allow a running circuit on the road around the outside of the car park for the KS2 children. We look forward to a really fun day with your children!
Many thanks,
