Green Fingers in Year 2!
Year 2 were given the task by the Eco Team to look after the memorial garden at the front of the school. Mrs Boyd (Mrs Robinson's mum) came in to show us how to plant some pansies and violas into our decorative Welly boots. It was lovely being outside and we really enjoyed using the gardening tools. We are really proud of how well our Welly boot planters look and how tidy the garden is after all the weeding we did!
We also took the time to discuss the importance of the memorial garden to our school and how everyone at our school should respect it and not climb over it.
Thank you to the families who kindly donated new Welly boots for the fence. We had enough boots to even keep some spare for future projects.
A big thank you to Mrs Boyd for all her help and patience as she taught us how to make planters!
