Following on from our insightful KS2 assembly Remembering the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Somme, Mr Harris worked with Years 5,6 & 7 discussing the significance and impact the events of the Somme had on our community.
We studied records showing the impact the Somme had within Whiteabbey, Rathecoole, Monkstown, Jordanstown, Glengormley and Carrickfergus. Mr Harris also brought in some relics/artefacts giving us the opportunity to hold a little piece of history in our hands!
