This week our pupils will be attending special assemblies to mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. The children will learn about the history of the battle but equally importantly they will reflect on the sacrifice of the men who died.
Year 6 will also be doing some research about local men who fought and died on the fields of the Somme. Rev. O'Brien will lead the special services on Friday 11th November when the pupils come together to give thanks.
From Monday 7th November pupils will be selling poppies. Please support this appeal if you can.
