Mr Lacey and his guide dog visit Y3
27th Sep 2018
Mr Lacey came into school this week with his guide dog called Juno. He helped the children to develop their understanding of what life is like for someone who is blind or partially sighted. The children found out about the different gadgets Mr Lacey uses to help him read, tell the time, pour drinks and walk. They also learnt about how guide dogs are trained. They couldn't believe how amazing Juno was or how clever! The most important thing they learnt was to NEVER DISTRACT A GUIDE DOG!
