Remembrance Day and Y7 Writing
19th Nov 2021
During the last 2 weeks Year 7 have been learning about Remembrance. We learnt why 11th November is a day of Remembrance and we developed our inference skills by using images from World War One. We created a display of stained-glass windows. We wrote letters home in the role of soldiers from the trenches. We wrote diamante poems based on war and peace and created a Poppy Remembrance Garden at the front of the school. We observed the two-minute silence respectfully and watched the images from the rest of the UK.
