Welly Wednesday
11th Nov 2016
As part of our Nursery Curriculum we play outdoors everyday regardless of the weather. It is important that your child brings a warm, waterproof to Nursery every day.
From Wednesday 9th November we will be starting our” Welly Wednesday” activities. We will be going straight outdoors when we arrive on Wednesdays and will be doing lots of fun, messy activities.
As we might get wet and muddy please bring your child to Nursery dressed for these activities every Wednesday. We recommend that they wear
- Waterproof over trousers
- Rain coat
- Welly boots
- Hat and mittens
- Please encourage your child to try to take these items off by themselves at home to help their independence skills.
- Thanks for your support.
- Please don’t hesitate to speak to staff at any time if you have any questions.
- We hope that by keeping the wet weather gear at home you can make use of it as a family, whatever the weather.
- Wet/ muddy items can be taken home (in the plastic bag trainers were brought in) at the end of the session to dry before the next week.
- Please clearly name all items and bring trainers for your child to change into later in the day. A plastic bag containing trainers can be hung on your child’s coat peg on arrival.
