What do I do if my Year 7 child's post-primary letter does not arrive on Saturday 28th May?
First of all, I need to stress this has never happened in my experience as a principal in nearly ten years!
The Department of Education, however, has requested that contingency arrangements are in place to ensure
that any child who does not receive their placement letter on Saturday 28 May 2016 will be able to
contact Transfer Branch staff to confirm placement details.
Consequently, I confirm that parents can contact Transfer Branch staff on telephone number
028 25662306 between the hours of 3.00 pm and 5.00 pm on Saturday 28 May 2016. Staff will
be available to confirm placement details only. Any other Transfer related queries should be
withheld until the office re-opens on Tuesday 31 May 2016.
I wish your child every success in this process. Please know that I will also be available on Tuesday 31st May to offer advice if any parent needs my help.
Yours sincerely,
