We had so much fun dressing up as our favourite book characters today! We had lots of discussion about our favourite books and about our favourite characters.
During group time Miss Nevins' class talked about what their favourite class book is. As a class they decided it was 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. They read this and watched an online version of it too. They loved it! After that they explored the World Book Day page online and looked at other boys and girls costumes in different schools.
During Miss Gallagher's group time they also discussed what their favourite book was. They had lots of different favourites books and they enjoyed listening to what their friends favourite book/character was. Through topic of 'growth' they have been doing lots of activities around 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. Today they re-enacted the book and added actions. They even learnt a song about Jack climbing the beanstalk which they loved singing. They also got to play a magic bean game and had lots of fun moving in different ways.
We had an extremely busy day in nursery with lots of fun had!
