The children have been learning about a period of time when Florence, and 38 of her nurses, travelled to Turkey to look after injured soldiers in Scutari hospital. They experimented with watercolour paints to depict the stormy sea and the boat they journeyed in. The children then thought of different adjectives to describe the journey and how the nurses might have felt.
