Today in Year 2 we made pancakes to celebrate Pancake Day/Shrove Tuesday. We learned about how pancake day first began and listened to the story of The Enormous Pancake. Then we read a pancake recipe as part of our procedural reading and writing. We followed the recipe to make pancakes and we weighed and measured everything by ourselves. When the pancakes were cooked we chose our own toppings. They were delicious!
