Year 4 Evacuated!
3rd Oct 2018
Year 4 looked fantastic in their evacuee costumes today! It really felt like we had taken a step back in time. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the World War 2 Memorial Museum - we learnt about Air raid precautions, gas masks, rationing and different types of bombs and planes. It was so interesting to hear how the war impacted Belfast. Did you know that only person from Northern Ireland was awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery during WW2? His name was John McGuiness, our Year 4 pupils will tell you how he earnt his medal.
