Year 4 Visit to Parliament Buildings
Year 4 had a great time visiting Parliament Buildings. We formed our own Whitehouse Assembly and took our seats in the room were all the laws in Northern Ireland are made. You may be interested to know that a new law was passed today, our Whitehouse Assembly members voted to banish school uniform! Did you know that Parliament Buildings were used by the RAF during WW2? To make the building less visible to German bombers it was covered with tar and cow manure, yuk! We ended our visit with our very own election. Four party leaders read their manifestos and Year 4 voted to elect the Pet Party and the Technology Party into power. We are all going to need a hot bath tonight to help us thaw out after being caught in hailstones before returning to school.
