Yesterday was National Poetry Day and Year 5 enjoyed listening to some poems and writing one of their own. Linked with our topic of The Sea, the children worked in groups, using their senses, to write a poem about what they see, hear, smell, taste and touch when they are at the beach. They worked well together and came up with some lovely descriptive poems. Well done Year 5.
