Year 5 went to the field today to do some practical learning outdoors. In Numeracy this week we have been studying position and direction and have been revising the points of the compass. We played a game called Compass Crazy Post. Compass point signs were attached to chairs and put around the field. Each chair had a post box on it. We worked in teams and had to post cards with specific compass points on them in the right place. It got harder when some of the signs were removed. We had great fun, got a bit mucky and revised our compass points all at the same time!
