As part of Year 7's PDMU topic ‘Healthy Living’ we visited Ballyhenry Presbyterian Church to take part in the ‘Bee Safe Road Show’. This event was run by Antrim & Newtownabbey Council. We greatly value the opportunity to enhance the children’s knowledge of how to keep themselves safe in a fun and informative way.
The children were engaged in a number of activities which addressed the following areas
- Fire safety
- Travelling by public transport
- Cycle & Road safety
- Alcohol Awareness
- Beyond Skin - Diversity
- Safety in the home
They got lots of advice on how to keep themselves and others safe. Parents please ask them what they learned today to reinforce the positive messages the were given.
