Year 7 Climate Change Workshop
6th Mar 2023
As part of our WAU topic - The Rainforest, Year 7 took part in a Climate Change workshop facilitated by Sentinus. This was a very informative and practical session and the pupils engaged fully in all of the activities. The children made models of the greenhouse gases and discussed the impact of climate change on the environment. They also carried out an experiement to illustrate the melting of the polar ice caps and learnt that we all have a role to play in protecting the environment.
We can:
- Walk, bike or scoot to school
- Recycle as much as possible - paper, clothes and plastic
- Replant trees
- Turn off lights and chargers when not in use
A huge thank you to Beatriz who made the sessions fun, practical and informative. You made us all think about our role in working together to help the planet.
