Year 7 entered Newtownabbey Council’s competition to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D Day. The children researched the history of the events leading up to 6th June 1944. Each pupil then designed their own piece for a class jigsaw. The children were very creative and the completed displays looked amazing. We were delighted to hear that both classes were winners and the posters have been displayed in the Civic Centre at Mosley Mill. The Carnmoney and Glengormley Royal British Legion presented the school with a commemorative plate and certificates for all of the children.
