In September, as part of their Irish Famine Topic, Year 7 planted seed potatoes. 🥔 They watered the plants and watched them grow. Last week the children were very excited when it was time to harvest them. They dug deep and managed to gather enough organic potatoes for the entire class. We decided to make potato wedges. The children enjoyed sampling the tasty fruits of their labours. They are now planning to plant onions and other vegetables for harvesting in the summer.
