Year 7 are actively involved in preparing for transition and this month we started our new topic – NEW HORIZONS. We recognise that moving to secondary school can be both exciting and challenging for all involved and we aim to equip our pupils with the necessary skills to ensure this transition is as smooth as possible. This month has been very busy and we have had experience of a range of classroom activities, visitors and outreach visits to help us make informed choices about moving school.
We have had visits from Mrs Creighton - Belfast High School, Mr Bell - Ballyclare High School, Mr McNabb - Glengormley High School, Mrs Quinn - Abbey Community College, Mrs Stewart - Downshire. We have had outreach visits to Glengormley High, Carrick College, Hazelwood Intergrated College, Abbey Community High School. We would like to thank all of the schools and their Principals for taking the time to visit us or host an event in their school.
