There was great excitement in Year 7 when Tracey Makin, from Antrim and Newtownabbey PCSP, and Alliance Party councillor, Julie Gilmour visited our school to present a prize of a laptop to one very lucky pupil.
The children had recently attended the 'Bee'Safe roadshow in Mossley Mill and had completed a quiz after the event. This was a good test of what they had learned. Well done to everyone who took part.
The Bee Safe Road Show is an annual event organised by the Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP). It uses role play and real life scenarios to inform young people how to stay safe and make right decisions. The topics discussed were fire safety, drugs and alcohol awareness, inclusion and diversity, personal safety on public transport and home safety.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learned how to keep themselves, their friends and their family safe.
