On Friday 15th March Year 7 pupils visited all classrooms and sold red noses. The money raised from this will help people in the UK and worldwide. We watched a short film to find out about young people who have been helped recently. We learned about a 12 year old boy, Farhad who fled from Iran and began a year-long journey to Europe. During a dangerous boat crossing, he had to throw his backpack full of pencils and paintbrushes overboard. This was to help lighten the weight of the load on the boat because it was going to sink. Farhad and his family have now settled in Serbia and his drawings have been displayed at an art exhibition in Belgrade.
