Year 7 Sentry Hill Environment Day
25th Oct 2019
Year 7 visited Sentry Hill this week and participated in lots of activities aimed at enhancing the children's knowledge and understanding of the importance of the natural environment. The weather was perfect for outdoor activities and everybody had a very enjoyable day.
The children:
- Developed their skills in tree identification
- Measured the girth of old trees and worked out their age.
- Carried out a mini beast hunt
- Planted seeds
- Collected leaves and flowers and created their own mini gardens.
We look forward to visiting Sentry Hill again in May to tour the house as part of our Victorian topic!
