Year 7 pupils took a step back in time and became Victorians for the day. They dressed up as Victorian boys and girls and visited Sentry Hill where history came alive. The pupils used primary evidence to investigate Sentry Hill and the McKinney family. they were given a guided tour of farmhouse and a ‘hands-on’ workshop focusing on Victorian costume and artefacts. Remarkably, the contents of the house have remained intact and the pupils were given a unique opportunity to see a genuine Victorian home. We completed our visit with a very enjoyable picnic in the beautiful gardens.
