Yr6: Abstract Noun Poetry
21st Sep 2020
Throughout September, Year 6 have been learning about how to identify and use different types of nouns.
We have been learning about the differences between concrete and abstract nouns -
A concrete noun is a noun you can experience or detect with your five sense - you can touch it, taste it, hear it, see it or smell it.
An abstract noun represents a thought, feeling, idea or concept. You cannot taste, touch, hear, see or smell these things.
We wrote poems describing abstract nouns by comparing them to things we can experience with our senses. We hope you enjoy reading them.
